I would guess it's a unit of pressure (pounds per square inch). But usually I've seen the medical world use Torres (mm * Hg -- millimeters of mercury) for the unit of pressure. I'm a bit rusty on this stuff and I'm no doctor, so please no flames if I'm dead wrong! ;)
